ABOUT THE SHUTTLE: The standard put-in is on a tributary of Silver Creek, Taylor Fork, which drains a fishing impoundment called Wilgreen Lake. The put-in is reached from Exit 87 on I-75 by heading west on KY 876, Barnes Mill Road. From Barnes Mill, turn left onto Curtis Pike and follow it to a small paved road that leads to the dam at Wilgreen Lake. Turn left and park alongside the road. Taylor Fork lies in the woods across Curtis Pike. If Taylor Fork is too low, continue on Curtis Pike to where a concrete bridge crosses Silver Creek and put in there. To reach the take out from Exit 87 on I-75, take KY 876, Barnes Mill Road, west from the interstate to Bogie Mill Road, which continues straight on river right where Barnes Mill crosses Silver Creek from right to left on a concrete bridge, just beyond the Silver Creek Falls.
